Decay and abandonment within enclosed spaces reflect unresolved internal experiences exploring feelings of neglect, isolation and paranoia. A ghostly presence evokes a quiet yet intense feeling in which images may be placed within a story. Could this be the beginning, the end, or middle?
Ryan Lee (b. 2001, Sacramento CA) is currently a second year MFA student at NYU Steinhardt. He graduated with distinction from the School of Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2023, where he completed his BFA with an emphasis in painting and drawing. He has shown work with Strada World (NYC), Color Club (Chicago), Good Mother Studio (Oakland), and 80WSE (NYC).
